A 75-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of firearms and explosives.
Suffolk police executed a warrant at a property in Olle Close, Bury St Edmunds, at about 6.10pm.
During a search of the property, a number of firearms were found and the Army Bomb Disposal Squad were called.
The man was arrested and is currently being held at Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.
A police presence will remain at the property overnight and searches will continue tomorrow.
