A woman has chosen to raise money for the charity which has helped her, while also having fun with her mother and sister who have stuck by her.
Jacky Holtby, 48, from Gazeley near Newmarket, will be stepping out on September 13 for St Nicholas Hospice Care’s Girls Night Out alongside her mother Geraldine Godsalve and sister Jennie Potts from Kent.
Mrs Holtby was first diagnosed with cancer 10 years ago. After several complications during her treatment, she was referred to the family support team at the hospice, which is based in Bury St Edmunds.
She said: “This is a great local service that can support you or your family members in a ‘safe’ environment. You can talk about anything you want without fear of upsetting friends and relatives.” To get involved with Girls Night Out visit www.stnicholashospicecare.org.uk or pick up a form at any of the hospice’s shops.
