A woman who was arrested in connection with an incident in Bury St Edmunds which has left a man critically injured in hospital has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Police had initially been contacted by the ambulance service early on Monday morning following reports man had fallen from a flat balcony on Anselm Avenue. They found a 50-year-old local man with serious multiple injuries.
He was taken to Cambridge’s Addenbrooke’s Hospital by paramedics and remains there in a critical, life-threatening condition.
On Friday, a 40-year-old woman from Bury St Edmunds was arrested at her home address. She has since been released on police bail and is due to return to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre on October 17.
