Derek Ratcliffe a site manager for Landex Ltd, of Ipswich, has won the top regional award in the small builder category at the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards for the Eastern Region.
The ceremony held in Leicester last week recognises quality of workmanship and management standards at the Landex development Goodlands, Boxford.
This award automatically qualifies Derek to be nominated for the NHBC national awards ceremony which will be held in London in January next year.
He will compete with site managers from the ten other NHBC regions of the UK for the national prize.
Both Derek and Landex are no strangers to winning this award.
Since 2010 one of the Landex team have won this prestigious award four times, with Derek being the winner in 2014.
On that occasion he went on to become the national winner recognising the quality delivered at the Landex development at Park Gate Ipswich.
Commenting on this remarkable achievement, Tony Burrows, Landex Operations Director, said: “The company is delighted to have had one of its managers recognised in this way on no less than four times in the last six years. It highlights the company’s aims and objectives in quality of craftsmanship and the general standard of site management”.
Derek Ratcliffe, from Ipswich said: “Whilst I am the recipient of this wonderful award, it is without doubt a team effort from beginning to end. The hard work and commitment of all our trades results in us receiving this recognition and provides our purchasers with a home which is one of the best in the eastern region. We are all very proud.”
