A Suffolk renewables entrepreneur is set to devote herself full-time to an electric vehicle charging enterprise .

Linda Grave is co-founder and was joint managing director of Rendlesham-based East Green Energy, where she has spent 11 years helping the Rendlesham-based business to grow.

She is now turning her attention to running EV Driver, also based at Rendlesham, full-time, as its chief executive officer.

“I am resigning from East Green Energy to give 100% to EV Driver,2 she said.

The firm will shortly be setting up its new office in The Hub above Honey & Harvey in Melton, and will be adding EV charging on site, so customers can come and recharge their batteries.

Electric vehicles are “the biggest disruption to the motor industry since the combustion engine replaced the horse drawn carriage”, said Linda.

She added: “EV Driver Ltd is our region’s biggest and fastest growing electric vehicle charging solution, servicing the growing need for charging infrastructure whether at home, the workplace or your destination”.

It is already operating over 50% of the public charging network in the East of England and adding more each month, she added.

EV Driver provides advice on the most suitable solutions for electric vehicle charging, installing in homes, workplaces, business parks, hotels, retail outlets and local authority car parks. It works closely with East Green Energy to provide charge points.

Train operating company Greater Anglia has taken on a new community and customer engagement manager .

Alan Neville, who is part of the organisation’s corporate affairs team, will manage all of Greater Anglia’s station adopter activities, meet Greater Anglia’s customers and rail user groups to address their concerns, and attend customer engagement event

Alan, who used to manage London Liverpool Street station, will foster stakeholder partnerships in the East.

Eileen Webster from Savills’ residential team has become an associate at the estate agents’ Ipswich office.

The firm has welcomed the promotion.

Tom Orford, head of residential for Savills Ipswich, said Eileen was an important team member.

“Eileen is a key member of our busy sales team here in Ipswich and her promotion is well deserved,” he said.

A Felixstowe-based supplier of parts and accessories for the motorcycle trade has welcomed a new member to its regional sales team.

Marc Jeffery is tasked with bringing in new business for Bickers, and helping establish the company’s position as the one stop shop for all motorcycle needs.

“I have worked with Bickers for a long time now, so it is an absolute honour to be moving up the Bickers ladder,” said Marc, who previously worked for Jim Aim Motorcycles in Braintree.
