Stow Healthcare was crowned Care Employer of the Year, and staff at its Brandon Park Nursing Home, recently rated ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission, were awarded Management Team of the Year at the Caring UK Awards in York.

The judging process included a site visit by a member of the awards team who toured the company’s homes, and compiled a detailed report. The judging panel included Professor Martin Green of Care England, Nadra Ahmed of the National Care Association and Raj Kapoor of Alzheimer’s Society.

Operations director Ruth French described it as a “fantastic achievement”. The business, based at Stowlangtoft, near Bury St Edmunds, was started by the Catchpole family in 2010 and now has four homes across Suffolk and Norfolk.
