Suffolk Canine Creche at Martlesham, near Ipswich, is in the running for a national award due to be announced later this month.

The creche, which offers daycare and overnight accommodation for dogs, has been shortlisted for the Pet Service Business of the Year title, the winner of which will be revealed during the Pet Industry Forum & Awards event on November 28.

Candace Rose, founder and manager director, said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted at such a prestigious ward event by our peers, having been recognised in this award programme previously.

“This particular accolade is wonderful for our team of dedicated staff as it recognises all that we do and rewards everyone’s contributions.”

Suffolk Canine Creche is a past member of the Future50 initiative for up-and-coming businesses in Suffolk and Norfolk and this year sponsored the One to Watch category of the EADT Business Awards.

It is part of the Canine Creche Group which aims to roll out the format nationally through a network of franchised and company-owned sites. Other locations already include Bury St Edmunds, Needham Market and Lincoln and the group is in the process of launching another site in Ipswich.
