The managing partner at Colchester-based law firm Fisher Jones Greenwood (FJG), Paula Fowler, raised over £1,000 for a cancer charity after completing the Clacton half marathon.
Paula raised £1055 for The Robin Cancer Trust (RCT), the UK’s only dedicated germ cell cancer awareness charity after taking part in the event, which took place along the town’s seafront and was held to coincide with the Clacton Carnival.
The money she raised will be added to the £12,500 the trust recently generated from its annual ball, and will be used in its work to educate young men and women to know of the signs and symptoms of testicular and ovarian cancers
Paula said: “I am delighted to have raised such a fantastic sum for Robin Cancer Trust but this was my first and will likely be my last half marathon. I am very happy I didn’t come last. The RCT Charity do some fantastic work and I am very proud to to support them.”
