A team of colleagues at ABP’s Port of Ipswich are preparing to get into the saddle to take part in East Anglia’s Crafted Classique Race next Saturday (August 12) to raise funds for the CHAPS (Colchester Has Active Prostate Support) Men’s Health Charity.
They will join more than 700 competitors to take on the challenge of cycling either 55km, 100km or 100miles through the Suffolk countryside.
The course will begin at the Orwell Quay in Ipswich and stretch to Aldeburgh before returning to the Quay where there will be live music and refreshments.
ABP’s chosen charity for this year’s race, CHAPS was originally founded in 2000 as a local prostate cancer charity, but now acts as an advocate for all men’s health issues.
Port Manager Paul Ager, said: “We are committed to encouraging employees to play an active role in supporting their local communities.
