Suffolk research and development tax credits specialist Fiscale is expanding with the opening of a new office to help serve its growing number of clients outside the East of England region.
Fiscale, based in Haverhill, was launched in 2014 by John Mayhew and Stephen Bunting to help businesses claim back money invested in R&D activities under the Government’s Research and Development Tax Credits scheme.
Although initially working with firms in the East, the firm has also been acquiring an increasing number of clients in the Midlands, Wales and the North West, resulting in the launch of a new office, in Stoke-on-Trent.
Jacqui Stoneman, who joined Fiscale as regional director for the West Midlands and Cheshire in 2015, will now be joined by Sasha Talbot, a Chartered Certified Accountant who has previously worked for Grant Thornton and Ensors, in the role of director.
Sasha said: “I enjoy working in the specialist area of R&D Tax Credits. Generally when a company uses an accountant or tax advisor it costs money – where R&D Tax Credits are concerned this is definitely not the case!
“The average first claim value that we are able to secure for our clients is £67,000. Clients have used this extra revenue to fund new employees, purchase capital equipment or to finance further investment in research and development. Helping clients to claim back tax credits is a real win-win for everyone involved.”
Jacqui will continue to work on expanding the client portfolio and promoting the benefits of the R&D Tax Credits scheme to businesses in the Midlands, Wales and the North West.
