Suffolk-based wealth manager Andrew Longbon picked up two honours at the 2017 Portfolio Adviser Wealth Management Awards, held in London.

The two-part judging process for the awards includes an opportunity for wealth managers to pitch precisely how they would manage a client’s wealth, based on different scenarios, through a series of questions. The second part looks at performance data, with summary analysis from Enhance Group.

The judging panel included experienced individuals drawn from leading financial planners, law firms, accountancy practices, consultancy businesses and trust companies, all charged with placing private client investment mandates with wealth management firms.

Mr Longbon, founder and director of Longbon & Company, based near Woodbridge, received a gold award for his approach to managing a “cautious portfolio” and a top platinum award for his “balanced portfolio” entry.

“I am absolutely delighted to win gold this year for our cautious portfolio, which is a huge accolade, and I was rendered speechless to receive a second award for the top prize of platinum for our balanced portfolio”, he said. “I am thrilled to be a multi-award winning wealth manager.”
