A flavours and fragrances firm has taken its local MP on a tour of its newly-extended facilities.
Bury St Edmunds MP Jo Churchill was shown Treatt’s new-look beverage applications laboratory as she toured the firm on Friday. She met with application specialist Lamia Gaman who presented drinks flavoured with Treatt specialties such as Nordic Herbal Fusion, Turkish Delight and Maple.
Mrs Churchill was also shown the firm’s brewing room where specific beer types are brewed to develop flavour solutions for beer applications.
Group finance director Richard Hope and Dr John Boddington, director of technical services said the state-of-the-art equipment enabled the firm to develop unique flavours for its customers.
Mrs Churchill said the visit to the “world-leading” manufacturer had been “fascinating”.
