One of the businesses that lost its premises as a result of the devastating Sudbury fire has now found a new permanent home.
The Cobblers and Keys shop was one of the worst-affected by the blaze which tore through a row of historic buildings in Friars Street on the evening of September 6.
The Cobblers and Keys shop adjoined directly on to the nail salon where the fire started and which was completely destroyed in the incident.
Since the fire, the business owner, Simon Evans, has been trying to keep it running from home on an a temporary basis, which he said was “less than ideal”.
But he said a lease had now been signed on a unit in Borehamgate Precinct.
Mr Evans added: “We are pleased to be able to inform our customers that we have found new premises and that we will be opening for business in January.”
