A garden office manufacturer has opened a new factory and showroom in Thurston, near Bury St Edmunds.
Smart Garden Offices, an East Anglian Daily Times Future50 firm, employs 20 staff at its new 15,000sq ft premises.
The company, which lies close to the A14, has enjoyed rapid growth, particularly over the last five years.
With the help of a substantial grant from the Growing Business Fund from New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), it has invested heavily in new machinery as well as its new premises to satisfy growing demand from across the UK for its products.
Mark Pendlington, chairman of New Anglia LEP Suffolk manufacturer, and Jo Churchill, Conservative candidate for the Bury St Edmunds, visited the new premises and met with employees before formally opening the showroom and launching the firm’s new model range, the Ultra garden office.
