A total of 21 national and East Anglian charities are set to be beneficiaries as regional chartered accountants and business advisors firm Larking Gowen celebrates its 125th anniversary.
The firm has agreed to give 625 hours of staff time to help support a charity or good cause, with the organisations to benefit being chosen by staff from Larking Gowen’s nine offices across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
“We wanted to get everyone in the firm involved with celebrating our 125 years in business so thought it would be a great idea to let them put something back into their local communities and what better way than assisting good causes,” said Larking Gowen partner Mark Curtis.
“Staff were asked to nominate charities and the reasons they believed they should be supported. These were sent to a special panel who made the final decision and we are delighted with how it has all worked out.
“Between now and the end of March our people will be getting their hands dirty doing all kinds of things from conservation work to setting up computer systems, wielding collecting tins and helping at special events, and it will be for very good causes.”
