A home furnishings store chain has replaced every bulb in its Bury St Edmunds branch in a bid to save energy.
Glasswells invested 100,000 in replacing 2,300 bulbs at its showroom, restaurant and storage and distribution centre with low energy LED bulbs. The work was carried out by local firm Peter King and is expected to save around 40,000 a year. Managing director Paul Glasswell said: “As with many energy saving initiatives there is an initial and substantial investment involved, however with the savings we will incur as a result we should soon see a return on investment.”
