SUFFOLK has played host to a new BBC Radio 4 food panel programme.
The programme, chaired by restaurant critic, Jay Rayner, will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on Tuesday, February 7, at 3pm.
An invited audience of 70 people put their questions to the panel, which included TV’s Stefan Gates, food historian Dr Annie Gray and food writers and cookery teachers Rachel McCormack and Angela Malik on Tuesday at the home of food events firm Food Safari, at Sibton, Saxmundham.
Topics covered included the best way to jug hare, how to preserve figs for the winter and how to avoid the inevitable consequences of eating jerusalem artichokes.
The recording was the first public event to be held at Food Safari’s brand new Suffolk headquarters, which is situated in a
converted barn.
