An accountancy firm has organised to farmers’ evening focusing on grain marketing to help them with cope with fluctuations of up to 20 a day in current conditions.
Lovewell Blake has organised the event in conjunction with Suffolk Coastal branch of the National Farmers Union on Wednesday at 7.30pm at Halesworth Golf Club.
“The decision when to sell is now the most critical one of the whole farming year,” said partner Brian Bale.“Last year farmers who sold forward during the early summer lost out on the high prices during the autumn. This year some farmers oversold grain forward and with the lower yields found it expensive to buy back contracts.” Phone Brian Bale on 01986 873163 to book a place.
