SOUTHWOLD brewer Adnams and Tesco's are donating 10p each from the sale of every bottle of Lighthouse beer from the supermarket giant's UK stores to charity.

The cash raised, expected to reach at least 20,000, will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign, Tesco Charity of the Year 2009.

The promotion, which will run until the end of February 2010, is part of a campaign aimed at raising 3million to provide specialist equipment for children living with the incurable and life-limiting condition.

Philip Butcher, Chief Executive of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign said: “We are hugely grateful for Adnams' generous support of the Tesco Charity of the Year partnership, especially during a year when many companies are struggling to find the money to support charities.
