Flights to the Mediterranean island, which begin in May, will operate up to nine times a week and serve three of the island’s airports – Bastia, Ajacio and Figari – using the airline’s 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft.

Stansted chief executive Ken O’Toole, said: “I am delighted to welcome Air Corsica to London Stansted as our latest airline partner and very much look forward to the launch of its first ever scheduled flights to and from the UK when they begin the new service in May next year. Corsica is a fantastic addition to our extensive and growing network.” Air Corsica chairman Philippe Dandrieux said: “International development of our route network is key for Air Corsica’s growth, and London is among our priorities in serving European capitals, especially with Corsica clearly missing on London Stansted’s route map.”
