IPSWICH-based independent healthcare provider TCN has strengthened its board with the appointment of Anna Hughes as director of finance.
Ms Hughes qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG and has wide business experience. After eight years with KPMG in London, she moved to East Anglia where she worked as an independent consultant (project management and business process improvement) until 2005 when she became finance director of Ipswich Town Football Club.
Responsible for finance, IT and Human Resources, Hughes helped the football club improve its efficiency and performance but also played a key role in its sale to Marcus Evans Group in 2008. After the sale was completed she became finance director of Suffolk-based GreenBottle, a start-up company developing a recyclable milk bottle.
David Cocks, chief executive, said: “I'm delighted that we have appointed Anna to the board. I know that she is looking forward to working with the team at TCN and helping to strengthen this vital function of our business while further developing our financial strategy.”
