ACCOUNTING students Beth Jackaman and Michael Scrivener are celebrating after scooping an award for displaying the best attitude towards their studies.
The pair, from Ipswich, won a Toshiba flat screen TV from accountancy trainer Kaplan Financial.
Mr Scrivener, an audit assistant for KPMG Ipswich, started his Associate Chartered Accountant studies after graduating from the University of East Anglia with a first class degree in management and accounting.
Ms Jackaman, an assistant accountant dealing with personal tax returns and sole trader accounts at Finnigan & Co in Ipswich, was awarded a first class degree in financial mathematics and is awaiting the results of her final Association of Chartered Certified Accountants exams
Kaplan Financial tutor Tim Howes said: “This year, we were delighted with the standards of students but in judging the competition, we felt that Michael and Beth showed that little bit extra enthusiasm and were a pleasure to teach.”
The award is sponsored by Johnstones Recruitment Solutions.
