A Suffolk specialist in musculoskeletal and mental health programmes has expanded to 20 sites to create a nationwide brand after acquiring a London-based physiotherapy firm.

RehabWorks, based at Bury St Edmunds, purchased Crystal Palace Physio Group, which has a network of 12 sties in London and the south-east providing musculoskeletal services to the corporate and NHS markets.

RehabWorks already has centres in Bury St Edmunds, Manchester, Fareham, Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Glasgow, Rotherham and Swindon, offering preventative and treatment programmes.

Its chief executive, Derrick Farrell, said: “This is an important step in our ongoing journey of respect healthcare provision, and in pushing the business towards becoming the leading UK provider of musculoskeletal and mental health solutions.”

The firm was advised on the deal by law firm Mills & Reeve and accountants Grant Thornton.
