SOME of Suffolk’s top athletes have spoken about their physical and psychological challenges leading up to the London Olympic and Paralympic games.
Javelin thrower Goldie Sayers, archer Nicky Hunt, hand cyclist Brian Alldis and marathon runner Helen Decker were guests of the Suffolk branch of the Institute of Directors at its autumn dinner, held at Hintlesham Hall and attended by more than 140 IoD members and guests.
The evening was hosted by BBC East Olympic Correspondent Shaun Peel, who interviewed the athletes on stage and helped the business audience draw parallels between striving for Olympic victory and attaining business success, where goal setting and planning are also critical to long term achievement.
A raffle on the night raised 1,060 for the Sports Aid Foundation.
