Staff at Basepoint Business Centre in Ipswich celebrated the start of the Rio Olympics with a colourful charity event in aid of Age UK Suffolk.
Nicholas Corfe, of Go Brazil Wines and Spirits, held a Brazilian wine tasting and Bob Scott, of Niche Cocktails, served up cocktails and non-alcoholic “mocktails” with a flavour of Rio.
CC’s Sandwich Bar put on Brazilian food and VIP Balloons decorated the centre with an Olympic theme. Centre manager Alison Morrissey said: “We were extremely pleased with the attendance and the way that it went, raising lots of money for Age UK Suffolk.”
Mr Corfe said: “It’s been a tremendous occasion. It was a great way to mark the start of the Olympics, with Brazilian food, wine and cocktails.”
Rachel Manning, director of iMarketing, based at Basepoint, said: “It was a fantastic event and offered a great opportunity for business people to network while looking forward to the Games.”
