INSURANCE call transfer agency Call Connection is seeking potential partners to provide capital and expertise to fund the next stage of its rapid growth.

Call Connection, which currently employs 350 people at its Ipswich contact centre and answers an average of 7,000 calls per day, says the move is likely to see the continued expansion of employee numbers and existing jobs are not at risk.

The company, founded in 2004, has grown to an annual turnover of £25 million in the year to September 2006, achieving earnings before interest, tax and amortisation (EBITA) of £5.2 million in the same period.

It is aiming to accelerate development of the business by partnering with a larger, well-capitalised group, with access to marketing resources, a consumer brand and commercial relationships in new consumer finance markets could add significant value to the company.

“Call Connection has achieved much in three years, winning awards for its technology and employee satisfaction,” said Graeme Kalbraier, managing director and majority owner of Call Connection. “The business is developing quickly thanks to our unique business model and the efforts of all our staff.

“However, as a management team, we believe there is an opportunity to exploit the existing business and related developments even more effectively with a well-positioned partner.”

Hines Associates now has been appointed to assist in identifying potential partners.

Call Connection's success has been recognised through winning a number of awards. The latest, announced last week, was for UK's Best Entrepreneurial Team (BET), given by the Information Technologists Company, the City of London Livery Company responsible for promoting technology, to Call Connection's senior management.
