CERI Rogers and Kirsty Panton at Ellisons solicitors in Colchester are celebrating the completion of their training periods and are now qualified solicitors.
Ms Panton advises on commercial property matters and is part of the team, led by partners Peter Powell, Guy Longhurst, Bryn Smart and Kevin Wilsher.
Ms Rogers primarily advises local businesses on employment issues, working with employment partner Jayne Scott, and on general commercial law under the direction of corporate commercial head Seamus Clifford.
Ms Rogers joined Ellisons as a trainee in 2005 following her graduation from Queen Mary University of London where she gained a degree in modern and contemporary history before completing her postgraduate diploma in law and legal practice course at the College of Law.
Ms Panton joined in 2007 to complete her training period. She graduated in law and completed her legal practice course at Anglia Ruskin University.
“Having proven themselves as trainee solicitors, both Ceri and Kirsty have shown us that they have the right blend of intellect and initiative to be part of Ellisons' future,” said Mr Powell.
The firm has now taken on a new trainee, Kerry Hawthorne, who has a law degree from Essex University.
