IPSWICH-BASED building firm ISG Jackson has further strengthened its management team with a number of key appointments.

Chris Harrall, a contract law lecturer at Colchester Institute, becomes commercial director across the business, while Peter Woodnott joins from Miller Construction, where he was divisional director, as divisional director for the commercial division. Steve Ponting joins from RG Carter and becomes construction manager for the public division.

David Durrell is promoted to associate director of the commercial division and Peter Sullivan takes on the same role within the public division.

The firm's managing director Bernard Clarke said the implementation of a divisional structure within the business had enabled it to create “mature business units” that provide clients with sector-specific expertise.

“As we continue to secure an increasing share of business across the entire organisation it is essential that we provide the infrastructure to both support and grow these opportunities,” he said.

“By adopting the dual approach of promoting from within and bringing in the very best talent from the wider industry, we support the ambitions of our staff and also add to our overall knowledge base with high calibre external appointments that complement the skills of our existing teams.”
