Boydens strengthens with the acquisition of John V Story
Colchester-based Boydens has strengthened its position as one of the area’s leading independent estate agencies with the acquisition of the long-established John V Story & Co in Clacton.
Hugh Bidmead, who has been the face of John V Story for many years, is still involved in the day-to-day running of the office but he is now supported by Boydens’ experienced team and administrative support.
One of the early customer benefits of the acquisition is the launch of a residential lettings service at the John V Story office in Station Road.
Boydens managing partner, David Boyden, said: “There are many similarities in the business ethos of Boydens and John V Story which has made it easy to maintain continuity as we introduce Boydens’ tried and trusted support systems. Offering a lettings service is just one of the benefits we hope John V Story’s many loyal customers will enjoy as the John V Story team works closely with our Frinton office team.”
Hugh Bidmead added: “This is a very exciting development for the business and will enable us to offer our customers an even better service in the years ahead. I am very much looking forward to working with my new colleagues at Boydens. They have a first-class reputation and their experience and resources can only benefit what we are able to offer our customers here in Clacton.”
Boydens has offices in Colchester, Sudbury, Braintree, Kelvedon, Frinton-on-Sea and a lettings office in Ipswich.
