A pub company has launched an appeal to find “a talented entrepreneur” to take on a community pub in a residential area of Colchester.
Applicants don’t need previous experience of the pub trade for the role at the Silver Oyster, which lies 2.5 miles from the town centre, Admiral Taverns said. The firm, which provides training, is expecting a lot of interest in the job at its open day, to be held at 5pm on September 29 the town’s Holiday Inn.
Business development manager Jean-Paul Russek said it was a pub with potential. “The vast opportunities that this pub presents means that the new publican will have the freedom to put their stamp on the pub, and play a pivotal role in shaping its future,” he said.
