Colchester’s Fenwick department store launched its Tiptree Jam Jar Bar to coincide with World Gin Day on June 9.

The bar, run by fruit farm owners Tiptree, was set up to serve a selection of fruit gin liqueurs, wines, bubbly and cocktails “with a Tiptree twist”, and is open during store trading hours. It also features soft drinks, coffees, smoothies, and shakes, along with a selection of tasty nibbles and sweet treats. Scott Goodfellow, joint managing director of jam makers Wilkin & Sons Ltd. said they were “very excited” at the new venture. “Together, we’ve created a really smart space where friends can relax, catch up, and enjoy a tipple or two.”

Store director Julie Hayward said they were always on the lookout for new customer experiences and loved working with local firms.
