Paul Toplis, technical director of Primary Diets, a division of AB Agri Ltd, which is based in Peterborough, has spent his working life in the feed business.

He called for more research and for the industry to get together to tackle salmonella and antimicrobial resistance.
“All of these need to be tackled on an industry-wide basis,” he said.
