IPSWICH-BASED Ballams chartered accountants has appointed a new trainee accountant.Former Orwell High School and Northgate Sixth Form pupil Connie Salmon, 17, joins the business as the first step in her accountancy career and will study for her AAT qualifications.

Former Orwell High School and Northgate Sixth Form pupil Connie Salmon, 17, joins the business as the first step in her accountancy career and will study for her AAT qualifications.

She will study on a day-release basis, while also picking up the key skills required in the profession.

“We are delighted to welcome Connie to the team,” said Ballams partner Marc Howes.

“She will be a valuable addition to our staff and we are confident that she will learn a great deal about the workings of the accountancy profession within her role here.”
