A SAXMUNDHAM-BASED firm has won a Microsoft competition celebrating the efforts of IT professionals.Darren Ilston, of MelBek Technology Ltd, which specialises in IT security and internet solutions, scooped the Champion IT contest after battling it out with more than 30 entries in front of a panel of judges and through a public vote.
A SAXMUNDHAM-BASED firm has won a Microsoft competition celebrating the efforts of IT professionals.
Darren Ilston, of MelBek Technology Ltd, which specialises in IT security and internet solutions, scooped the Champion IT contest after battling it out with more than 30 entries in front of a panel of judges and through a public vote.
Mr Ilston impressed judges with his ambition to make the company greener by cutting the amount of power it needed to run its infrastructure.
He said he was “honoured” to be the first recipient of the prize, which includes more than £400 in Microsoft software.
