RETAIL giant Debenhams is to create hundreds of temporary jobs in the region for the festive season, the firm announced today.
An average of 56 jobs will be offered at each of 160 outlets, as part of a total of 9,000 new posts.
With stores in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Chelmsford and Cambridge, almost 300 new jobs will be created in this region.
All the jobs will be part-time, running from November to January, involving flexible shift patterns and ranging from stock handling and general sales advisers to gift adviser roles which will require special training.
