A 231-acre residential farm just outside Diss has gone on the market through agents Savills and Durrrants with a guide price for the whole of £3million.
Walcot Green Farm includes a five-bedroom main farmhouse, a three-bedroom cottage and a former granary with potential for residential conversion as well as a range of domestic and agricultural buildings.
Around 220 acres of land is registered for the Single Payment Scheme and there is also an Entry Level stewardship scheme in place.
The farm land, classified as Grade 3 and mainly of the Beccles 1 series soil type, includes about 195 acres of arable land. This has has been farmed under contract for a number of years by a neighbouring farmer, employing a typical cereal and sugar beet rotation.
There is also about 25 acres of grass, which has been grazed in recent years by the vendor’s cattle.
