EAST Anglian business software provider Access has been named among the finalists in the 2012 FDs’ Excellence Awards for financial directors and their service providers.

Access, based at Stratford St Mary, on the Suffolk-Essex border between Ipswich and Colchester, is shortlisted in the “Financial Software Provide: SME’s” category.

Nominations for the awards, to be hosted by Real Business in association with ICAEW (the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales), and supported by the CBI, are based on the results of a survey of more than 1,000 chief financial officers, financial directors and senior financial decision makers from British businesses.

Chris Bayne, chief executive at Access, said: “It’s great that FD’s from across the UK have taken the time to vote for Access in these awards; to make the shortlist means that we had a good customer response to the survey. It’s always nice to be recognised at awards, especially when the outcome is voted for by our users.”

Access is no stranger to success, with its software having picked up 18 awards in the past five years. The winners of the FD’s Excellence Awards will be announced at a black tie dinner in London on Thursday, May 24.
