A regional food and drink champion entered a new era this week at its annual general meeting after a difficult 2013.

Tastes of Anglia will remain as a membership group, while its trading business, sold to Elveden Farms last year, has ambitious plans for growth which were laid out at the meeting by Natasha Card, who is leading the new team.

Tastes of Anglia Trading Ltd is being wound up following a decline in fortunes which was blamed on a number of historical factors. Of the £75,000 or so it owed to creditors, most will be repaid, delegates heard, leaving an estimated shortfall of around £13,000.

A smaller and leaner structure was agreed for the membership body. Chairman Robert Gunn, who resigned to become an executive employee, said he wanted to “re-boot” the organisation.
