Accountancy firm Haines Watts, whose 50-plus locations around the country include offices in Ipswich, Colchester, Diss and Thetford, has been named SME Auditor of the Year at the FD’s Excellence Awards.
The awards, held in London and hosted by Real Business in association with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and supported by the CBI, recognise service providers which support Britain’s finance community.
They are based on the results of an annual survey in which 1,380 financial directors and other financial decision-makers recorded their opinions.
Haines Watts, which provides audit and accountancy services to small and medium-sized businesses spanning all industries and sectors, also won the SME audit award last year.
Anthony Brice , regional audit partner at Haines Watts East Anglia, said: “It’s great to see Haines Watts win such a prestigious award for the second year running.
“Our core client base is owner managed businesses, so to get this endorsement from SME businesses means a great deal to us. We are very proud of all of our staff who have contributed towards us winning this award.”
