Bernie, who is sales and marketing director of Lark Insurance Limited in Bury St Edmunds, was presented with the award in recognition of his outstanding dedication and long-term contribution to training, development and professionalism, as well as his commitment to the local institutes and CII nationally.

Sian Fisher, chief executive of the CII, said: “Congratulations to Bernie for his Distinguished Service Award at this year’s Network Conference. It is only thanks to the commitment and dedication of an army of volunteers that the CII and local institutes are able to help raise professionalism locally, regionally and nationally.”

The Network Conference was held at the CII’s head office in London. Bernie’s award was presented at an evening reception hosted by Robert Fletcher, national president CII, and Branko Bjelobaba, chair of the CII Awards Panel, at a hotel in the heart of the capital.

The CII has more than 60 local institutes across the UK that organise seminars and training to help members meet their continuous professional development objectives, ensuring the best possible service possible for consumers.
