East Anglian accountancy firm Ensors is again sponsoring the Eastern Angles theatre company’s Christmas Show.
And, in keeping with a long-standing tradition, senior partner Malcolm McGready donned one of the costumes when he went along to the Sir John Mills Theatre in Ipswich to meet the cast for a publicity photo-shoot.
Mr McGready said: “No matter what the costume, I always look forward to joining the cast for this special occasion. We are proud to support such a talented team in their one-of-a-kind Christmas performances”.
This year’s show, The Ladykillers of Humber Doucy Lane, adds an Eastern Angles spin to the classic 1950s Ealing comedy, The Ladykillers.
A gang of oddball criminals planning their next “job” decide to disguise themselves as a group of thespians in order to stage a performance of The Importance of Being Earnest, and then burgle the audience’s homes
The Ladykillers of Humber Doucy Lane runs at the Sir John Mills Theatre in Gatacre Road, Ipswich, until January 6 before moving to the Seckford Theatre in Woodbridge from January 9 to 20.
It will then transfer to the Key Theatre in Peterborough, with the title amended to The Ladykillers of Orton Brimbles, for a further week.
