Business in Ipswich are shrugging off the recession and planning to party this Christmas, according to the Trinity Park conference and event centre.

Commercial manager Christine Bond says that bookings for The Old Toy Shoppe Christmas themed parties planned this year are up compared with the number of Christmas bookings this time last year, with only limited availability remaining - including an extra date.

“It's incredible,” she said. “All the tickets for the Friday and Saturday night events had sold by the middle of June - that's more than 1,400 tickets. Companies are ensuring they do not miss out this year.”

Tickets priced 49.95 per person are only now available for the Thursday nights of December 10 and 17 and the Tuesday before Christmas. For businesses with a tighter budget, Trinity Park is also this year offering lunchtime parties featuring a two course buffet with music and dancing until 5pm.
