Celebrated Newmarket race horse trainer Sir Henry Cecil will be guest speaker at the next Institute of Directors Suffolk business breakfast at the West Wing at Ickworth House on Wednesday, November 21. Tickets are still available.
Sir Henry, who faces an on-going battle with cancer, has credited his champion race horse Frankel as being an inspiration to him during the illness. Frankel has now bowed out of racing after 14 wins from 14 starts. He secured his place as the greatest race horse of all time after his final win in the Champion Stakes at Ascot in front of the Queen and millions of fans around the world last month.
Sponsors of the event are Marshall Jaguar, Barker Gotelee, Ensors, Quantrills and The Ideas Centre. The breakfast, from 7.30am to 9.30am, costs 27.50 for IoD members or 41.25 for non-members (ex VAT). Email caroline@iod-suffolk.co.uk or call 07917 699498. See www.iod.com/events .
