GARY Griffiths of Witham-based computer recycling company RDC has been appointed to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Advisory Board.
Mr Griffiths, a member of the Computacenter Sustainable Development committee said he was “honoured” to have been selected to the 12-member board.
“I will contribute ideas to increase the amount of material reused and recycled,” he said. “I would like to see best practice standards developed that will improve environmental performance and safety in the UK recycling industry and lead to similar improvements overseas where sadly many people suffer from unregulated, dangerous so-called recycling practices.”
RDC managing director Gerry Hackett said the appointment was “a tribute” to Mr Griffiths' enthusiasm, knowledge and experience.
