Train operator Greater Anglia is set to become a preferred train partner of London music and entertainment venue The O2.

The partnership will enable Greater Anglia customers to book tickets for The O2 on the Greater Anglia website, and people buying tickets from The O2 website will be able to book their train tickets via the Greater Anglia widget on The O2’s site.

Greater Anglia commercial director Andy Camp said they were “delighted” at the deal, which enable the operator to reach 9m a year.

“Our train services connect hundreds of thousands of people with Stratford and a direct connection to the O2 via the frequent Jubilee line,” he said. “We look forward to raising our profile as the O2’s preferred rail partner.”

Nathan Kosky, vice president of global partnerships at AEG Europe, said: “With so many fans travelling to our venue on the rail network, now is the perfect time for Abellio to join us as our new train partner.”
