John and Jenny Parkington, owners of HAIR, which is based in Brentgovel Street, Bury St Edmunds, introduced the salon’s new look to nearly 200 guests at a party held to mark the double celebration.

It now features designer chairs and Italian lighting, which Jenny says were chosen to bring the feel of a West End salon to the town.

“It’s a special year for us and we are so pleased with how the salon has turned out,” she said.

“I want to personally thank our regular clients for their continued support, a few of whom have been with us right from the very beginning, but we are also excited and very proud to welcome new clients to our lovely new facilities.”

She said she believed it was the quality of the salon’s work, its commitment to client satisfaction and delivery of a professional yet friendly service that had helped HAIR to maintain its popularity and to compete with the big national chains.

Jenny, who still works full-time at the salon herself, added that the salon offered a combination of experience and youth, with the whole team able to deliver both classic and up-to-the-minute styles for men and women of all ages.
