Helmingham: Canines take the lead at Suffolk Dog Day in July

Talented dogs will be showing off their skills at a growing annual country show.
More than 8,000 visitors are expected to descend on Helmingham Hall and Gardens near Debenham on Sunday, July 27, for Suffolk Dog Day.
This year’s star attraction is motorcycle stunt team Inch Perfect! whose skilled riders, spectacular stunts and crowd participation are expected to get the show off to a roaring start.
Over the past six years, the event, which is packed with attractions for dogs and their owners, has raised more than £285,000 for charity grants body the Suffolk Community Foundation.
Visitors will be able to browse an array of more than 80 stalls at the seventh annual show. The event is sponsored by Southwold brewers Adnams and Shadwell Stud, andorganisers expect it to be the biggest to date.
Furry friends will be able to take part in a range of events and competitions including the Doglympics, Dog Scurries, games of Flyball, the popular Dog Classes.
There will also be a performance by the Easton Harriers.

Back due to popular demand, dedicated musical bandstand ‘Doggytude’ will feature local musical talent.
The event will include a Catering Village where visitors will have the choice of a range of tasty treats from burgers and sausages to curries and fish and chips. Hungry pets will be offered a range of doggy treats from specialist stalls.
The show features a new Kids Activity Area with bungee trampolining, go-karting, bouncy castle and a giant inflatable slide.
