A poultry unit in Suffolk has been recognised under a new programme launched by breeding company Cobb Europe which is based at Colchester
The Hook2Sisters farm at Wickham Skeith, near Eye, picked up an award for broiler performance, with a liveweight of 2.21kg at 34.5days and a feed conversion rate of 1.52.
Farm manager Nigel Wittrick was presented with the trophy by Cobb Europe account manager Tom Proctor (pictured, right).
“Many of our customers are consistently achieving standards that rank them among the top performing in the world,” said Tore Mercan, sales and technical director for Cobb Europe. ”We have set up this new Cobb Champion status not only to recognise and reward this level of performance but equally to encourage others to aspire to such achievement.
