An Ipswich-based organisation which provides housing support to vulnerable people will be holding an open event in May to launch its new name and services.

The Stepping Stones group of companies will be promoting its latest services, projects and housing development proposals and celebrating what it has achieved so far at a drop-in event from 10am to 4pm at its Sproughton premises on May 15.

The day will include the premiere of a series of short films of interviews with individual service users and staff, revealing how life with Stepping Stones is seen from different perspectives.

Stepping Stones Supported Housing and its sister company Stepping Stones Community Outreach provide housing and support to people who are vulnerable because of emotional distress.

“Stepping Stones is very proud of the way it has evolved from just one shared housing project offering accommodation and support to five people with a handful of staff, to five staffed projects, a number of community based flats, and nearly 40 staff – in a mere three years,” said development manager Elaine Thomas.

“Stepping Stones’ services are flexible and our approach is to help and support people in ways which meet their particular need and is designed to focus on people’s individual strengths to promote recovery.”
