EAST Anglia-based Glasswells World of Furniture has won a top industry award in the annual AIS (Associated Independent Stores) ceremony.
Glasswells, which has its flagship store in Bury St Edmunds and others in Ipswich, Haverhill and Saffron Walden, received the AIS Member of the Year title, its second accolade in the awards in three years.
The company was placed top ahead of more than 100 other AIS members in the category, with the criteria including service, product display and presentation, the professionalism and product knowledge of staff and standards of administration and storage.
Paul Glasswell, managing director, said: “We are delighted to have won the award and over the moon that it is our second win in three years. Our entire team, across all our stores, always work hard to provide the best product information and advice to customers and feel that this award is evidence that our standard of service is improving all the time.”
